“Our young people have all opportunities to study at the six higher educational establishments of the Estonian SSR. The Tallinn Technical University (established in 1936) with it’s 9741 students was the largest among the higher educational establishments in our republic during the academic year 1982/83. Engineers are trained here for 30 specialities. The Estonian State Art Institute (established in 1951) had 526 students in the study-year 1982/83. The Institute awards diplomas for graduates in 8 specialities. Tallinn State Conservatoire (established in 1919) trains musicians and actors in 9 specialities.”
